​The recent protest movement in Hong Kong shocked the world.  Why do young people risk everything to fight for democracy and freedom? "The Cube Phantom" provides an insider's view of their struggle for freedom through the expressive form of dance and movement.  Divided into ten chapters, each unique in form and theme, beginning with the city's return to China in 1997, and ends with a celebrative dance on top of the city's iconic Lion Rock Mountain, where the youthful dancers rise above debilitating angst and anxiety to proclaim their new post-colonial identity.
